Hello, My home has a Safewatch Pro 2000 system installed in 2001 by ADT. I have recently switched my monitoring service from ADT to nextalarm.com. I’ve used the installer code and Vista 20-SE programming form to reprogram dialer settings, the customer number, and the events that the system reports. Signals are being successfully received at nextalarm.com. I understand the warnings both in an FAQ on this site and from postings on other sites about attempting to program this system without an alphanumeric keypad attached. (My keypad is whichever one came standard with Safewatch Pro 2000.) Indeed, during my attempt at deleting a zone using *56, I made two serious errors, one of which prompts this post. However, I’ve corrected one error (knocking my front door “off the grid”), so it’s my hope that I can correct the other one, too. The error which prompts this post: I have a wireless key fob with my system. I have somehow messed up Zone 10, which handles/represents the “disarm” button on the fob. The buttons for Zone 11 (“stay”) and Zone 12 (“away”) still work correctly. I’ve gone into *56, gone into zones 11 and 12, and have written down the codes I see by just *ing my way through, and I’ve attempted to program something similar for Zone 10 (yet using 22 for the zone type for “disarm”), but I must be doing something wrong. Pressing the “disarm” button on my fob does nothing now. My system doesn’t even appear to recognize that a button has been pressed. (One posting indicated that there’s something that lights up on some panels whenever a fob button is pressed. I’ve been unable to locate such a place on my panel – unless that place is in the wired keypad, which I’ve not “opened up.”) Other things that may help someone help me: I’m reporting in Contact ID format, and the loop I believe I need to use for this key/zone is loop 2. My family & I are about to get a new pet. The motion sensors that came w/ our Brinks system are primative and do not discriminate between people & pets. We'd like to buy & install new motion dectors ourselves that can distinguish pets from people. From my research I've seen that there are several on the market...does anyone know which sensors might be compatible w/ the Brinks system? Of those sensors do you have any that you recommend? Our control pannel is BHS - 2000D. I've tried to talk w/ Brinks but they've been of no help so far...we'd appreciate any advice or help you all could provide. Thank You OnTheBrink
