Ademco help
Hello all,
I am just looking to enable the chime mode on my new house which has this unit. I do not have the security codes, so from what I have read I will need to reset them. Right now I am just trying to identify what units I have to ensure I follow the correct procedure to reset the security codes.
I think they are in the Ademco Vista family:
Thanks for your help.

I can't tell what Vista board that is, but thats a Ademco 6128 keypad. It also could be a Lynx system, but lets wait for more responses. Is there any sticker on the cabinet door?
Get your code by:
Get your code by:
Retrieving Installer code
Nearly all Ademco family (this includes First Alert, Security Link, and several ADT models) panels can retrieve the Installer code by disconnecting the battery, then the AC power. Wait a minute, then reconnect power in the opposite order. Within 50 seconds, on any keypad press * + # at the same time. Unless the system has had an installer lockout feature activated, the panel should go into program mode. The details by system will vary, but the programming section number that shows on the display will be the location for the installer code (on _most_ panels this will be 20). Key in # and the location number, and the panel will read back the installer code one digit at a time. Exit program mode using *99.

That's an Ademco 4110XM and 6128 keypad. That is no way
even close to be a lynx panel! LOL!!! It's a 6 zone basic
alarm panel with standard features and a standard numeric
keypad which is notorious for the buttons to not work when
the black contacts behind them get dirty.

Also, that is by far the BEST post I have ever seen
regarding technical help. A picture is worth 1000 words!
I see you have 2 data wires on the keybus (keypad screws).
How many keypads do you have? Do you have more than 6 zones? I can't read the keypad door that well? Do you have
anything wireless on the system?

You actually have the 6127 keypad, not the 6128. There's not much difference except for size I believe. Both only display
numeric zones instead of english zone descriptions. You will find the #'s not working now and than on the keypad. Simply open
it up and clean out the contacts behind each # and it should
work just like new.

THANK YOU!!!!
Now, I only have one issue.
I can get in and out of program mode, but I get the following message when in READY:
Check 09 - this appears to be related to a keyswitch, which I do not think I have... Or Wireless, which I also dont think I have.
Keyswitch -?
I am looking to just disable these features but cannot find the dip switch they mention in the documents.
Any ideas?
Thanks,

Check 09 means you have a keybus module programmed but
not connected to the system. Like I mentioned earlier, you
have 2 yellow and green wires on your keypad terminals which
means you have your keypad and something else connected
to the data terminals. Either its a wireless receiver, keypad,
zone expander, relay board, or something I'm missing. Did you
renovate the house and remove anything on any walls or closets or clean out the attic? Your panel is telling you there is a device
that is supposed to be there but it's not.

From the 4110xm installer manual:
8. "Check 09" is displayed.
8. "Check 09" is displayed.
8a. No communication between wireless
receiver and control.
8b. Wireless receiver has not heard
transmission for 12 hours.
8c. Keyswitch is enabled but not connected
If you have neither a wireless receiver, or a keyswitch, then *22 should be 0 and *24 should be 00.
