GE Simon XT - will a dead sensor battery cause an alarm?
I couldn't find any information on what happens if a sensor's battery dies while the alarm system is armed. Will it cause an alarm?
For instance, if I take the batteries out of a sensor, the panel thinks the sensor is triggered (ie, door open). Wouldn't this cause a false alarm if the battery happens to die when the system is actively armed?
Or does the panel receive a battery low signal and then handle it appropriately if the sensor goes off line?
