X-10 and ademco Vista 20P

Hi,

I am trying to setup 2 x-10 socket rockets with my vista 20p panel. I have the 1361X10 transformer installed, 2 socket rocket lamp plugs. Can someone tell me how to proceed next ?

I do not have any other x-10 devices. I was wondering how to make the xformer identify the two socket rocket lamps?

Thanks,
Sudhir

First, if you don't already have one you need the installer manual.
Most of this requires a 6160 keypad, or equivalent because you have to be able to see the menu prompts.

Give the sockets their individual addresses between 1-8

In system programming location *27, set your house ID

In *79 menu mode:
{Prompt} Enter output NO.
(enter 1 since this is the first output you are trying to program)
*
{Prompt} XX Output Type
(enter 2 for power line carrier device)
*
{Prompt}Unit No.
(enter the unit code you set at the first device)

It will go back to the output number prompt, and you "lather, rinse and repeat" for the next device

After you do the second one press 00 to exit *79

NEXT
You define what you want the output functions to do in *80.

Read over those instructions and see if you have any questions. There are too many variables there to just give you a boiler plate. You actually have to make decisions.
