Disappearing Transmitter serial #'s.

What would cause me to loose all my wireless transmitter serial #'s?

I was simply in programing (fields *60-68, 70-75) and entering report codes. When I exited programming (*99), all my wireless serial #'s were gone. The zone descriptors, zone type, etc were all still there, just the serial #'s were gone.

Hopefully the panel is going south so I have an excuse to upgrade.

Vista 10SE.

Normally the way you delete serial numbers but not the other zone data is to enter a 0 at the loop number prompt, then it gives you the prompt "delete s/n".

It's hard to say. At it's newest, a 10se would be sneaking up on 9-10 years old, so silicon failure isn't out of the question.

The fact that this did so when you were in zone programming leads me to suspect that you _might_ have accidentally told it to delete the tranmitter. The prompts that you would do this from do follow right behind the report code prompt.

Re learn your transmitters and see if it stays stable.

That's the thing, I was not even in the zone programming *56 field. I was just entering '1's' in the report fields. This has happened before when I was in programming, about 2 years ago. After I plug the serials back in, it's fine. I must be doing something, but not gonna worry about it now.
