Unhappy DSC 5010 Arming w/o Entry Delay problems

"Arming Without Entry Delay
If you wish to arm your system without the entry delay, enter [Q][9] then your access code. The Armed
light will flash as a reminder that the system is armed and has no entry delay. An entry through any
zone programmed as a delay zone will create an instant alarm."

I can not get this to work on my alarm. I am using key pad that has wireless built in and only door sensors on 3 doors. I can change the zone to an instantiates zone and get it to set the alarm off. but when it is a standard entry delay zone and i set the W/O entry delay and wait for the alarm to arm then open a door nothing happens.

please let me know if you need any more info to help me
Thanks for your time

*9 + code should arm the system instant. Are you waiting long enough for the exit delay to time out? It still runs, even in stay and instant arming.

If you have the wireless devices properly enrolled and active, the zone type set as 01 or 02, and arm the system using the *9 + code; then the exit delay will be turned off on any zone type that has the delay function.

That's it, that's all. There are no other settings or configurations that affect this function, period.
