My wife and I are looking at a A/V for a baby monitor which includes the portable hand held video screen. They seem a bit expensive. Can anyone recommend common alternatives to a baby monitor system which may be less expensive?

I have the above system and it was working fine until I changed the battery and since then the system seems locked. I reset it following the directions and neither of 2 keypads will respond to any input. One of the keypads continously chimes but this will stop if I unplug the power though the keypad zone lights, armed, ready and trouble are all on. It is not hooked to a service. I have tried disconnecting various zones to no avail. I have read all the posts, googled everything all for naught. I have tried the *8 1500 but no changes occurred. I have tried the *8 0000 91 20 1500 with the correct jumper settings and nothing, just a chime with all the lights on. Any suggestions? It was working fine previously. It does have the resistors present. I did not fry it with static electricity when I changed the battery. The battery works btw. John:wall:
