replacing fa215 keypad problem
hi i have a fa215 keypad with a fa1220 control panel. My old keypad speaker died so i bought a new keypad but when i put it in, it just locks up in the armed setting. Are there settings i need to program to make it work with my alarm panel? thanks

The FA 1220 is (I _think) a clone of the Vista 40.
I am assuming that you have a FA keypad. The standard Ademco keypads and FA panels of this vintage don't generally work together (one of the rare exceptions).
Did you think to get the keypad address from the old keypad? For this system the first Alpha keypad should have an address of 00. All new keypads ship set to non addressed mode (31).
If you set the keypad address, you should be good to go.
