DSC PC1500 new question

First, thanks in advance for your time & response. I purchased the system online which was billed as having easy-to-follow directions for the do-it-yourselfer. They were not, more geared to the GE technician. The supplier has not answered my question and GE will not since I am not one of their technicians. That said, here is the question(s). I have a simple requirement, 4 doors. I wired them as one zone (in series) with the specified resistor at the last door. When I go to program the system I get an "over current fault." What might I do to rectify this? Now, a second question that may impact your response involves the zone use. There are 8 where the manual states that only zone 8 can be used as a 2-wire zone (this zone usually reserved for 2-wire smoke detector). This is the one I used, but am I limited to using that zone in this case or am I missing something written between-the-lines? Thanks again.

Hi, I have a DSC PowerSeries 433 that contacts the alarm company at 3:30am every morning. Recently the "test call" has failed and the alarm beeps a warning, which obviously wakes me at 3:30 am, ouch. Anyway is there a way I can re-program my system to NOT make that test call?
