Ok, I'm sorry but your question is a little confusing. I honestly cannot figure out _what_ you are trying to get the system to do (or not do...)

trouble shooting alarm

sorry about the last post, but i have a dsc 1500. everything works right but when we set it to "armed" and walk out the door, there is no alert noise ( chime noise ) like an alarm telling you to get out. Whe i eneter my security code, it will go straight into armed but you won't hear any noise... also, there is no trouble signs. this all happend after a lightning storm and lost all memory, so i had to change my code from "1,2,3,4" to a new code. thats when i expirienced the problem with the alert noise.. i went out and bought a new battery, but still no noise. thank you.

Only the later versions of the PC 1500 had an exit audible feature. If yours once did, but now doesn't, it almost sounds like your system got reset to factory default.

If you have access to system programming turn ON option 1 in programming location 34.

In the sticky titled "Alarm Forum FAQ (Please read before posting), there is a set of instructions that will bypass the installer lockout on _most_ versions of the PC 1500/1550.
