Ademco Vista Series / ADT / Honeywell

I seem to have a bad wireless transmitter on an exterior screen door that I really don't need. How do I eliminate that zone from my system so it doesn't beep at key pad and send signal to monitoring ( ADT )

Gonna need more info: System Model? Keypad Model?

ADT used several versions of the Vista panels, and they _all_ program differently.

In order to delete a zone transmitter, you need a 2-line alpha keypad.

Have you tried simply replacing the battery in the transmitter? Remember, you need to enter your code as if disarming the panel after changing the battery and replacing the tamper cover...

Did that when I replaced battery hoping battery was the problem. I'm pretty sure the transmitter is bad. I dont really need it because it is an outside lanaii screen door, if that was breached I still have protected doors beyond that point. The system is a Vista 15P Panel.

Thanks for your help

First websearch using the term: "Vista 15p installer manual" and read the section on the mechanics of programming, so that you understand the interface. Then go to the section on *56 programming:

This _must_ be done with a _2-Line_Alpha_keypad_! (6160 or equivalent)

[installer code] + 8 + 00
*56
0* on the Set to Confirm prompt
Enter the zone number and press *
Keep pressing * until you see the prompt: Input S/N
Press * once and the cursor will move to the Loop (L)
Enter 0*
Keep pressing * until you return to the zone number prompt.
Enter 00 to exit *56 programming
Enter *99 to exit system programming.
