How do I reset the alarm code for our alarm Networx NX-4.

We have moved in to a house which has a Networx NX-4 alarm, but we do not know the current alarm code. So we need to know how to reset this and then instal our own code.
Thanks

NX panels can be a pain if the code is unknown. Try the following:

*8 9713

If the service LED flashes and the 5 function LEDs light steady, you are in luck and the default installer code is still in place.

If so, press:
0#
43#
4**
Then press the exit key twice (and _only_ twice)

This will set the installer code as a master code that you can use to change the master code

If the installer code has been changed, or if the system is armed, the only way to change the code is to use a direct connect module and DL900 software.

Confused?

What is a direct connect module and DL900 software?

It's the software (and hardware) used to download to one of these family of alarm controls.

DL900

It's normally of more use to a pro installer that's servicing mulitple systems, but it's the one of the only ways to gain access to NX panel that's been armed and you don't know the master code.
