Open Zone(screens)
I have a DSC PC3000 system that recently and inexplicably shows that one or more of my main floor alarmed screens is open(15 screens total). I have checked all the screens which appear to be in good shape and installed correctly. What would be my next move in this troubleshoot?

First verify that the zone input is working correctly. Depending on whether your system was setup to need the EOL resistor or not, use either a 1000 ohm resistor or a simple wire jumper to close the zone input at the motherboard. If the zone closes, then go to each screen and unplug the connector and use the wire jumper to short the connector that goes into the wall.
When the zone closes, then you have found your bad screen.
It doesn't take much damage to open these things, and some versions also have a magnetic contact to detect when the screen frame is out of position, so you could have a displaced magnet.
If the screen itself is damaged, it's not really a DIY project to replace the security screen material, and there's only a handful of companies that still make them.
