If you are able to access the ICM module via your local network, but you are not getting emails, my guess would be that you are looking at the wrong end of the wire. Have you checked to see if your email provider/client may be filtering these messages into the junk filter?

Devices like this don't really spontaneously change programming and settings.

You aren't making a successful connection to the email servers. This isn't likely an ICM problem, this is a router or ISP problem.

Vista ICM product has been discontinued by Honeywell. You'll have to hack it if you want to get notifications working again and that will probably require running a local dns server to redirect the in2myhome http call to a local server than handle it. I should note that until recently (last month or so) the In2MyHome service was still working even though it was supposed to have been shut down.

This is the best source of information that I have found: bliny.net | Hacking the Vista ICM e-mail notifications

There are also some other good posts on that site.

these folks will get your icm notifications back up. ecoconcierge alternative - EcoConcierge Alternative they tell you how to point your icm to their server and it will work again. had the same problem, and that worked for me.

Very, very cool. Great find and much better than hacking it yourself. If anyone else tries it out please post some info about your experience!

New Alarm System

I had heard a while back that this was supposed to be disabled and I guess it finally has been shut off. I really don't want to do the hack and was wondering if anyone knows of a replacement panel that I could purchase that would let me get text's messages and possibly arm and disarm from my I-phone without subscribing to a monitoring service? Thanks for you r help!!

A few of the brands have add on modules that will do things like email out. DSC has their T-Link modules (DSC) and GE/Networx has the NX-590 (NX-590E)

There are other brands with similiar device, these happen to be the ones I had a quick link to.

This is a tricky area. DIY communication solutions are an area that the security industry is still getting a grip on...

Vista ICM Monitor/Send Email

I'm not sure who's interested but given the lack of options for us Vista ICM owners that relied on the email functionality and don't want to sign up with an unknown provider that will most likely begin charging in the future or drop support, I've put together an application that monitors the UPD stream from the Vista ICM and will send out and email via STMP to 3 addresses. It was developed for use in Windows XP (SP2). It bascally has the same options as the Vista ICM email option, and allows entry of the needed parameters for sending SMTP via your providers server. I can't even post a screenshot or I would.

If you're interested please inbox me because I don't have authority to post attachements here.

Please don't flood my inbox, I'm new to this forum and don't want to be kicked off. I will send it to the first one who responds and agrees to post it with the proper credits to the people who's code I modified and put together to build this app.

Is anyone doing Class action against Honeywell?

Has anyone considered doing Class action suit against Honeywell?

I cannot find anything in any Honeywell literature that said the ICM alert emails would be handled by a third party (in2network) and Honeywell or in2net could cutoff the alert emails at any time.

I doubt that many people would have purchased the ICM with that ticking time bomb inside.

I think without that disclosure before purchase they don't have any legal basis to do what they have done

I sent email to Honeywell and they said they don't talk to end users and to contact someone else.

Yep, that's Honeywell!

They have some fine products across their vast line but their support to the end user sucks. Always has and most likely always will. BTDT.

FYI, Buddy hasn't been back here since his first post. You'll need to find it somewhere else.
