I know the problems about trying to use a cell phone number in place of a central monitoring station (No. 41--primary phone no.). However, I see from other posts that you can sometimes "adapt" the alarm system's call pager function to call a cell phone. Thats all I want mine to do -- is just call me (once) when the alarm is activated.

When I put my cell number in DF#160 (Pager 1 Phone No.), it doesn't call my cell phone. I know my dialer and connections work.

From what I have gleaned from reading other posts, possibly the "second phone no." and "report format" and "split/dual reporting" have to be programmed in a certain manner for it to call a cell phone.

Any guidance on this matter would be greatly appreciated!

 

This one is essentially a Vista 20p, so you need to use *81 zone list programming to put all of the zones that are supposed to activate the pager in a zone list. (It's item #6 in the general pager programming instructions).

 

Thanks. I am using a numeric key pad and I have 5 hard-wired zones. Could I get confirmation on what needs to be keyed in?
