Three digit codes not working

I have a Safewatch Pro 3000 according to the label on the keypad. And the install code that works is 6321. But it seems that the three digit codes do not work or are disabled somehow. Does this mean I have a brick? I can program the call numbers *42, etc. But just nothing with three digits.

Can they be enabled again? Or do I not have the system that I think I have (Vista-20p or se)?

You may have a newer keypad on an older system. On the motherboard the part number should be printed on the edge. Normally it begins with SAVxxxx...

Hmmm. I've thought about trying this a couple of times. I don't know how to get t the motherboard without breaking it. Is there another way to tell? Or better, is there another function code I can guess at being the pager number, besides a 3-digit code?

To see the motherboard, you open the door of the metal box containing the main board and the backup battery. There's nothing to break. If there's a lock on the door, you can break that. It's just a cheap cabinet lock.

Ok. Sorry, I was thinking you wanted me to open the keypad.

So, I opened the metal box and I can see that I have a V10se (with E2 programming).

So I got the manual and things make more sense now.

Here's my problem currently: It seems I have to use the Prim and Sec numbers for calling my cell, since there's no pager codes like with the V20. That's fine. But the problem is that every time I disarm the alarm, it calls me 8 times. This is a pain. Can it not call me at all when I'm simply disarming? I only want it to call when an alarm is triggered. It even calls me after exiting programming mode. Why is it so hyper?

Thanks for any suggestions!

To use "pager" dial out on a Vista 10se:

Actually, there is pager function on a V10se, it's just a bit more complicated than on a Vista 20p.

You are getting repeat calls because you have wrong format set, and the wrong settings in programming location *47. Since it's been awhile since this topic has come up, I'm just going to post the proper sequence again:

To use "pager" dial out on a Vista 10se:
  • Delete the phone number in primary # *41
  • Put the phone number you are trying to call in *42
  • Put any 4 digit number you want in account number *43
  • Make sure the format is set for Contact ID *46 7
  • In Split/Dual Reporting enter *47 7

That combo should make it call once, connect and quit.

Ron -- Thanks, thanks and thanks.

Wish I could rename the thread to Vista10se.
