Lynx Touch Wireless Programming
Trying to install this alarm. I followed the manual and was able to install three 5816 sensors and the motion sensor. All were found by the panel and the serial numbers are all correct. When I open the back door for the test after exit programming, the main screen shows green ready to arm. When I open the back door (system not armed), the panel chimes but does not go back to ready to arm. I have to pull the AC cord and battery and do a complete reset. Any help would be appreciated.
The alarm is not monitored.

1 - the green ready light will always stay lighted for about thirty seconds after exiting programming and,
2 - if you are using a magnet with the 5816 sensor then it must be programmed for 'loop 2'.

Thank you both. That Loop 2 fixed 1 problem. The other issues I had was that the magnet could only trigger the sensor from 1 side only. I have 2 entrance doors where one opens to the right the other to the left. Mounting the magnet on the left opening door did not trigger the sensor. So I placed the magnet on the door jamb and the sensor on the door and the alarm is ready to arm.
However, I changed the installer code and after arming the alarm, I could not get it to disarm. After several battery and AC pulls, the alarm kept booting up to system arm. I did a search and found the answer. The installer code cannot disarm the system. I did have a Master Code set so the default code of 1234 disarmed the system.
Now I will plan out the rest of the system to add windows sensors, fire and heat sensors, wireless siren etc.
This is fun when I can count on the help from the forum. Thank you again.

Yes, the 5816 transmitter internal reed switch is only on the side with the little arrow marks. The two other ways to resolve this issue is to invert the transmitter, or to use the hardwire contact input.

If you have managed to either change the installer code to an unknown one, or exited programming using the installer lockout, there is still a way into programming. In my copy of the installer manual, this is on page 20 in the instructions on how to enter programming mode:
1. During the initial system power-up initialization
delay (while "SYSTEM STANDBY!" is displayed),
depress the OFF key. Wait for system to terminate
the system initialization delay.
2. Depress the OFF key again. The touchscreen
displays a keypad.
3. Press the “Clear” key. A blue vertical bar is
displayed below the “Enter Code”.
4. Enter “00” on the keypad. The system will enter
Installer Programming mode and the Installer Tools
Menu will be displayed.
Then when you exit programming remember to answer "yes" when it gives the confirmation prompt.
