Lynxr continual alarm
Hi all,
Great forum! I have purchased a home most recently owned by a bank so they had very limited information for me. I have the following:
Ademco/Honeywell LYNXR
Motherboard says: SALYNX176DSE-AD on a sticker and is stamped with SALYNX176DSE-EN
I was trying to get the installer code to program a new master code per the FAQ on this site (GREAT FAQ, btw), and when I reconnected the AC power, I get a continual alarm. Now, my wife and 2-year-old are in bed so I couldn't look at the alarm to see what was causing it, but I can re-post in the AM.
Any thoughts? Appreciate all the help!

On a guess, you probably blew the timing on the * + # trick, or you failed to disconnect the battery.
Here's the installer manual.

It _is_ possible that the download software was used to disable local programming access, but this is uncommon.
