Security Manager 2000 not seeing Ademco 5816 wireless sensor

Like a dummy I knocked the door sensor, breaking the little plastic posts on the door frame mount which fit into the keyhole slots in the sensor. Luckily (or so I thought) the actual screws holding on the wall plate fit the keyhole slots.

But now the sensor isn't working. I opened it up and the tamper switch works and gives a fault, so the receiver sees the switch, but no chime and no ready light unless I bypass the zone.

The system is not monitored, to I'm hoping to resolve this myself.

Thanks for your help!

When you take the cover off of an Ademco style contact, the tamper switch doesn't reset until you enter your user code +1 (off) to clear the tamper.

Also, double check how you mounted the contact. Did you align the little raised mark on the side of the transmitter with the magnet?

Resolved!

Wow, I am truly dense....I ASSumed that the keyhole slots would face down, so I was mounting the sensor with the raised marks facing away from the magnet.

What a relief,

Thanks!!
