Does anyone know if you can back door/master default Napco MA800 by grounding pin 5 of the main chip. If not how can you?

For a start, here's the installer manual: http://www.jessejoe.com/poweredprote...apco/MA800.pdf

Now the bad news: These used an external eeprom programmer. You had to physically remove the chip, put it in the programmer, change the programming, then reinstall the chip.

There's no keypad programming option for these puppies.

My advice is to budget in a new control and keypad(s).

Go for it! Just remember, that this is a 20-25 year old piece of hardware that might have issues...
