6150rf programing questions

6150rf programing questions

I have a simple system
vista 20
6160 keypad
6150rf keypad
6 hardwired zones
2 keyfobs
3 wireless contacts

I have everything working but dont understand the 6150rf totally

address is 17
reciver address is 00

What should the house id be set at, or is this ony set if you use bd type ,
if not used should it be at 00???

Also the house id source,, Should it be local or system , after reading the application guide i am confused

Thanks in advance for any help

I'm assuming that's a Vista 20_p_...

The house ID can be any number between 01-31. You just pick a number and use it consistantly in your system. It's really only needful if you are going to use bi-directional devices, but it hurts nothing to go ahead and pick an ID and stick with it. What you set in the keypad needs to be matched in panel programming location *24.

The other question / should the 6150rf be set at local or system??

System. The local option is to allow wireless devices on systems that won't otherwise support them.
