dsc PC1555 control panel with PK5508 keypad problems

Hi. I need some help.

I hard wired four zones to the panel, the zone 1 being a motion control. The others (doors) are all NC. I did not use any resistors, not even in the two remaining un-used zones as I assumed they could be programmed as null.

When I attempt to program (05),(01), (02), (03), (00), (00) to zones 1 thru 6 respectively. the alamr goes of and I cannot shut if off without disconecting power and battery.

Also, after the first attempt, when I enter *8 5555 to enter system as installer...that does not function either as I never get a "ready" light and after a delayu the alrm goes off again and I am back at square one.

Could I have accidentally changed the master 5555 code? Do i need resistors on zones 5 and 6?

Any help will be appreciated

You don't need resistors if the eol requirement is turned off in programming.

Yes, it sounds like you accidentally changed the installer code. Do a hardware default and start over.
