Loud Dog (or other) alarm

I'd like to set up a motion sensor / alarm system to set off a sound of my choice, (ex: dog, lion roar, my wife's screaming (really scary :-), etc). You get the idea. We have problems with deer, fox, etc. I'd probably warn the neighbors if I use a lion roar (imagine at 5 am...:-)

The motion sensor part is easy. With this I could possibly turn on a small power amp to drive a speaker, but how could I trigger a sound? I'd like to keep it simple, and I prefer not getting into hardware programming. My thinking was to put the speaker and amp in a small dog house to protect them from the elements.

Any recommendations or other ideas?
