Is it worth the upgrade from the XT to the XTI?

I have the Simon XT v 1.4 with about 30 sensors around the house including 2 touch screen panels. Self monitoring. II saw that now the xti is out ad it looks just like my 2 touch panes. First what is the air differences with the xti other then touch screen and the 2 way talking? Second will all my existing sensors be compatible?

Thanks

Yes, all the components are compatible. No, in my opinion, for your situation, there isn't enough gain in function to justify the time and money to change the control unit out and reprogram all of your transmitters into the new unit.

Most of the additional features are only things that work when you are subscribing to a monitoring service.

thanks. wanted to install another Simon XT at my business and was going to purchase the XTI for home and take my Xt from home and use it for the business. But looks like if i'm self monitoring there is no reason to pay the extra money.
