Issues with adding 2nd Keypad to Honeywell Vista20 security system
I've just installed a Honeywell Vista-20 home security system with 2 6160 keypads and am having trouble programming the second keypad. I can change the address on the second keypad to 17, but once I do that, it's like I'm caught in a loop and can't do anything else. I don't get the notice "Disarmed" or anything. There is just a blank screen. I've powered down/up several times and can push the 1 & 3 buttons simultaneously to change the address, but again, a blank screen. Powering the system up/down again, the address remains 17, but I still have a blank screen. I can change the keypad back to address 16 and get the "Disarmed" screen and things work...but that's not what's recommended in the manual (2 keypads addressed with 16). How can I get the second keypad to get into programming mode? Thanks for the help!

Welcome to the forums.
You have to enable a second keypad in programming from the primary keypad.
In programming mode go to ∗190 (Keypad 2 Device Address 17)
You should see [0] [0]
The first number is partition.
Enter partition 1,2 or 3. In your case probably a 1
The second number is sound. You'll probably want 0 for all sounds.
0 = no suppression (all sounds active)
1 = suppress arm/disarm and E/E beeps
2 = Suppress chime beeps only
3 = suppress arm/disarm, E/E, and chime beeps
So in field 190 you would want [1] [0]
