ADT 5804 Keyfobs don't work after programming

I recently purchased two additional 5804 keyfobs to replace my broken ones, and programmed them into my system. When I try to activate the alarm with the new keyfobs (away or stay) nothing happens. The Panic buttons works though, as I found out the hard way!

I simply continued the zone numbering that the installer used: looks like my 2 old keyfobs were in zones 21 thru 24 and 25 thru 28, so I continued to program the new keyfobs into zones 29 thru 32 and zones 33 thru 36. I am fairly certain that I got them programmed correctly by comparing the zone/zone type/partition/report/button type/loop to the installer programmed keyfobs.
ex:
zn 29/07/1/10/BR:1s
zn 30/22/1/10/BR:2s
zn 31/21/1/10/BR:3s
zn 32/20/1/10/BR:4s
etc.

I ran the sniffer mode afterward to ensure that the new keyfobs were properly programmed.

Also, I noticed that my partition numbering changed - showing ?H for partition 1. How do I change that back? The other partitions are shown as P2 and P3.

Safewatch Pro 3000EN
6271VADT Keypad

Thanks much.

ADT 5804 Keyfobs don't work after programming

I did a search on the forum and read a lot of posts about programming the 5804 but none directly addressed my problem...

You change the partition number in *56 programming. It's the step after zone type.

Also, did you set the keyfob zones to work with a user number: [Master code] + 8 + [user code #] + #4 + [keyfob zone number]

See page 12-1

Both key fobs assigned user number and now they both arm & disarm the system. Thanks for the help!

With regard to the partition number:
It's displayed as ?H on the 6271VADT Keypad. I think that I inadvertently changed it somehow and want to rename it P1H (which is what I think it used to be called - or whatever the ADT installer had it named - what's the norm?). When I look at the partitions they are labeled ?H, P2 and P3, but I don't know what is on each partition.

Oh, you mean the keypad display for the partition descriptor...

In alpha descriptor programming *82, the partition labels are custom word 11 for partition 1; 12 for partition 2 and 13 for the common partition.

You can make that descriptor anything you like, up to 16 characters.
