Safewatch Pro 3000 Fault Code

I just moved into a home that has an ADT system -Safewatch Pro 3000. The system is not monitored. The problem I am having is I don't know how to clear a fault "Check 08" appears on the panel. I looked at the installer sheet (lucky It was still available) and it indicated the 08 is a phone tamper fault and looks like on partition 7 (everything else is on 1. I disabled 41 and 42, and I tried to disable 92. No luck. I am guessing because the system is UL listed I have to disable something else? Any Suggestions???

There is a way to wire an RJ-31x jack so that unplugging it opens a zone.

The fast and easy fix: Take the wire off of the zone 8 input, and put a 2k ohm resistor between it and common. That will eliminate the open zone.
