Unhappy HELP! GE Allegro Constantly beeping!

Good day!

I have a GE Allegro Alarm. It keeps beeping 3 times and when I press status, the panel says, "PHONE 1 FAILURE" then "Trouble Back Door"

-The Back Door is closed & locked
-There is no phone line hooked to the Dialog Telephone Interface Module, as I now use a cell phone for my home phone.

I have disconnected the battery pack and then the power outlet, but when I put it back the error messages still appear.

Please can anyone help me???
Many thanks! ~ S.

The back door trouble is most likely a low battery in the transmitter for that door.

The telephone line fault can only be corrected by going into system programing to turn off the dialer and telephone line monitor functions.

Do you have the installer code and installation manual?

Thank you for your reply.

How do I replace the battery in the door transmitter?

I know my code and I think the installer code is 1234.

I don't have the original manual, but have one I have downloaded online.

At risk of sounding flip: On most models, you remove the battery cover by squeezing the short ends and replace the battery thus revealed. There are several models of transmitter, without knowing which one you have, it's hard to be more precise.

No worries about sounding flip. I successfully took off the cover and found 2 AAA batteries that I have replaced. The transmitter was flush with the door jam, so it was much more difficult to squeeze the short ends. Will move it a bit to make it easier next time.

How do I reset the phone 1 failure?

Installer manual: http://www.protectron.com/images/sto...tallmanual.pdf

Enter programming with 8 + installer code (the default is 4321)
Go to the devices menu and delete the DTIM module. Once it's deleted, once you exit programming, the system should stop looking for phone lines.
