Using Ademco Vista 10SE without landline

My daughter just bought a home that has an Ademco Vista 10SE alarm system installed. The home has been vacant for a while so the alarm has not been in use. She does not have a land line but wants to us the alarm features without the monitoring option. Can this system be set without the monitoring option?
Thanks

Absolutely! You will need the installer code to enter the programming and delete the monitoring function.

How do I find the installer code? I have downloaded the install manual and think I can go from there to delete that function.

If you power the system down (remove a lead from the backup battery inside the beige metal can and unplug the transformer that supplies AC power to the panel), power it back up and press and hold * and # on the keypad within 50 seconds of powering up, it should get you into programming mode.

Once you are in programming, you can hit #20 and the system will display the current installer code. The four digit code will be displayed as four 2-digit numbers. For instance the default code of 4111 would be displayed as 04-01-01-01.

For a Vista 10se:

[installer code] + 8 + 0
*41*
*42*
*94*
Exit programming with *99
