Hi

Does anyone have any advice on a budget alarm system that can send an SMS message to my phone of there is an intruder?

They do have text message sending modules available for GSM systems. I have not seen one for cellular but if you are outside the USA it's a good chance you are GSM.

Vista-20P Alarm zone 100?

I have a Vista 20P alarm system that ocasionally even though the alarm is not armed gives an ALARM Zone 100 RF. The keypad is a 6160V, an RX 7 Sounder,e 2 wireless door switches and 2 wireless motion controls. The system was originally monitored by ADT but no longer is. At the beginning of the alarm the keypad is inoporative and in time becomes operative and allows me to disarm the alarm.Read More

New keypad for vista 20se

The keys are wearing out on my original keypad so I am looking to replace it. I have wireless sensors in several zones and have seen that it may be possible to just wire in a non-rf 6160 and retain the old pad on the system for its rf receiver and save the expense of a new rf receiver. My question is that since the address for the keypad is 31 for this panel, would both keypads be set to 31?Read More
