My parents have an old alarm system which works, but a couple of numbers on keypad is no longer working. The hand held device still works, but will not last forever. Trying to use the touch tone phone(not pulses) to arm and disarm, but it does not work. I located a replacement part for the touchpad, but not sure it is compatible with the old system. Is the 60-248-10-AD2 Caretaker Plus keypad completely interchangeable with the old system they have? I have photos of both if that helps? Thank you kindly for your assistance in advance! Despite various attempts to fix the communication with Next Alarm on my system gave up on that and switch to the EnvisAlarm solution. The solution works great an get SMS messages and emails depending on the situation. The trouble light won't turn off, despite the fact that I turned of 380 option 1 and 015 option 7. The trouble light indicates "Communication" as the problem, but don't understand why since I thought I turned this and the test option both off. Did I miss a step in this process? Turn off power completely or something else
