Lynx giving fault even after when window or door has been opened for some time

Hello all... Got a rude awaking this morning about 3am. Front door fault occurred while system was armed in "stay." The front door, however, wasn't opened. So today had several windows and doors open, alarm was disarmed and "chime" feature was on, and even after being opened for several hours, the chime notification occurred, calling out different zones, throughout the day.
I have replaced the front door sensor, changed the batteries in all sensors, and have changed the batteries in the key fob. The display is not giving "Low Bat" display. Not sure what the next troubleshooting step should be?
Thanks,
Dave Van West

Could there be something interfering with the signal -- metal, exterior walls, differing levels of house/large house, fluorescent lights/high-current AC power, etc.?

Unfortunately, the sensors that are usually supplied with newer systems [5811] are not very hardy. If it is an older Lynx, it maybe at the end of its useful life.

Not much to go on.
