Anyone have one of these or know someone with one? We are considering this brand for our new construction rather than wireless. What are the advantages/disadvantages?

 

When given a choice of wireless or hardwired systems, my preference has always been hardwired. I own a security company, and I will always install a hardwire system whenever possible. The biggest advantage is no battery replacement. However, there are many different alarm installing companies other than ADT. ADT will require you to sign a multiple year contract for their monitoring service. There are other companies that don't require a multiple year contract. For example I offer one year contracts, and at a much less monthly cost than ADT. So, my best advice is to shop around.
