lynx plus AC power fail notification

I would like to set my system up to call me when power fails / restores. Anyone know how to do this when self monitoring? My system calls me just fine for entry alarms, etc....It used to even call me for tests (turned that off though)....I would like it to call me for loss of AC or restoration of AC.

I have set *62 AC LOSS REP CODE to 10...but it never seems to call. The manual says there can be up to a 4 hour delay so, that's not really what I want. I would like it sooner.

I also set *73 AC RESTORE REP, but this never sends even when I restore AC.

I imagine I could use a relay hooked up to a wired zone, but that seems like a big waste of power and a wired zone since the system actually knows when power is lost or restored.

Any Thoughts?

Nearly all modern systems somewhat randomize the time delay on AC loss notification (to prevent overwhelming central station monitoring receivers when there's something like a regional blackout).

From the installer manual: "Timing of this report is random with up to a 4-hour delay. If AC restores before the report goes out, there is no AC restore report."

So, no, there's not really a way to modify this report setting.
