Replacing Napco Gemini P1632

The home we purchased has a Napco Gemini P1632 alarm system, but the previous homeowner didn't know the code to give us (she had been renting to tenants), so it is useless to us.

Any recommendations for replacing this system? Our priorities are:

1) A system that we can install, activate, and service ourselves rather than hiring an alarm installer and company.

2) A system that uses the same wiring as the current Napco system so that replacing it is straightforward.

3) Ideally, a system that can use wifi to send alerts to our email or phones. Are there any that don't require a paid subscription service for this?

Thank you!

Any of the major brands like Honeywell Vista, DSC power series, GE/UTC Concord, or GE/UTC Networx will do 90% of what you want.

The sticky wicket with this is the wifi thing. Pretty much any solution that will do what you want, requires the use of some type of paid service. The DSC and Networx models do have internet modules that can be configured to send email.

A lot of people like the envisalink add on for the DSC or Honeywell models. You have a service fee, but it's pretty small, for the functions you get.
