Smoke detector and a DSC 1616

Hello,

I'm trying to install a 541NB 4 wire smoke detector on my DSC1616 panel.
I have wired the smoke detector,
N.O. to Zone 3
Com to Zone com
- to PGM2
+ to AUX+
with a resistor between N.O. and common terminal.

My programing is,
*8 I.C. 5555 001 01 05 08#
009 00 03##

I want the 2 alarms constant and yelp to operate, my siren is DSC SD15W-ULF which has 2 wiring options one for burglar and one for fire. But there is only one spot on my 1616 panel to wire the siren to.

So my questions are,
1. is my wiring correct?
2. is my programing correct?
3. how do I get the 2 different alarms to sound?

thanks,

Jim

Wire it only using the burg terminals. The alarm panel will generate the fire alarm tone pattern when a fire zone is tripped.

Hi,
I wish I knew what the "burg" terminals. But I don't. What do you mean?

Thanks,

Jim

You said you have two options on the siren, one for burglar and one for fire; wire it for burglar. The alarm panel will produce a steady output for intrusion alarm, and a pulsed output for any zone programmed as a fire zone.
