Adt alarm

Hi everyone. We just purchased a house that has an adt alarm. We do not have the master code but do have the manual. We just want the alarm to chime when the 2 doors that have sensors open. Also, i wont actually be connected to the adt service. Can anyone help?

Thanks
Kris

ADT doesn't actually make the hardware, they just pay to have their logo put on the boxes, and have the software slightly customized. We need to know the model, to help you.

Open the door to the box with the motherboard and large battery. The model number will be on the wiring diagram on the inside of the door.

I think you may have a "Quickconnect" aka LynxR
Does this manual match up: http://www.adt.com/content/dam/adt/d...14853V2_ug.pdf

It's a modified LynxR system.
Installer manual: http://www.nassecurity.com/manuals/ADEMCOLYNX.pdf

You will need the installer code. We aren't allowed to post the most common ADT installer code here, because they fuss. It can easily be found by websearching using the phrase "ADT installer code"

Once you have that do the following:

[installer code] + 8 + 00 (to enter programming)
*41*
*42*
*94*
*99 (to exit programming)
To program a new master user code:
[installer code] + 8 + 02 + [new master code]
(do this in one smooth entry; if you hesitate more than a couple of seconds between keystrokes, the new code won't take)

Test your code by turning the chime function on/off.
