Range of a 5802BN Ademco panic button ??

Hi,

Recently purchased what I hope is all of the components we need to add a new Vista20 system to our house. Recently an elderly neighbor slipped, hit her head and it took her like 4 hours to get help. When I told her of our new system - which has an extra 5802BN panic button - she asked if she could have one to use from her house. I can't find any info on the range in which this might work. Any ideas ?

Thank you.

In the real world, it's going to vary a lot depending on the local RF environment.

Typically, these little transmitters have 60-80 foot range under the _best_ conditions. Trying to use one of these between two buildings and multiple walls isn't something I would recommend, from a safety perspective.

Think of one of these as having about as much range as the little pocket sized remotes they sell for garage door openers.

That could create a liability issue with your monitoring company.
