DSC Power 864 / PC5020 - beeps every 6 minutes
Keypad beeps twice every 6 minutes, but there is no trouble light and nothing in the Trouble list or in the Event Buffer that points to a root cause for this. I've replaced both 12V batteries and done a cold restart of the system (disconnect AC power and batteries). After restart, I set the clock, and everything is fine except this beeping continues on 6 minute intervals. I have a note from an installer visit years ago that seems to indicate that a low battery in one of the wireless remote key fobs can cause this. I've found one of the two fobs and verified that it has no batteries in it. Can't find the other.
Anyone have any suggestions?
If this is keyfob related, can I reconfigure the system to ignore all key fobs?
Thanks,
Eric

Are you _sure_ that this sound is coming from the security system keypad? If there is nothing on the system display or trouble display, that would lead me to suspect that there is some other device in the vicinity that has a similar piezo sounder. Frequent sources include smoke alarms, co detectors, children's toys, etc.

Thanks - I thought it was the keypad because the beeping would stop if I powered down the alarm panel. But you are right -- it was the (hardwired) Sentrol/ESL 240-COe carbon monoxide detector that had reached its end of life. Thanks for your help in resolving this!
