Honeywell 6150 programming help

I have a 6150
During some remodeling, 2 zones were taken out of use, they just cut the wires and dry walled so I can't get to them.
How do I reprogram the system to take the 2 zones out.

The easy method is to simply close the zone inputs at the system main board using a couple of 2000 ohm resistors and remove the dead field wires. No programming necessary.

Thanks

I tried to do that but obviously didn't do it right.
The wire diagram on the board shows Zone 5 as using posts 15&16 which is where the original wires were connected. I took the original wires out and put a resistor I bought at RS in - one wire on 15 and 1 wire on 16.
The resistor I bought says - 2.2 kohm - 1/4 watt Carbon film resistor.

Where did I go wrong.

Thanks - Tom

I have fixed this issue.
Not being able to get 2,000 ohm resistors at Radio Shack, I bought 1,000 ohm - put 2 of them on the circuit and it worked.
