Adding 4204 to Vista 20P

I am hoping someone can help me here as I feel a bit lost in the instructions. I have just added a 4204 relay to my Vista 20p panel. Here are the steps I took:

1. Set the DIP switches on the 4204 to address 20 (2,3,5 are set to ON)
2. Set keypad address 20 (*193) to ON in Vista 20p programming
3. Connected the wires from the 4204 to the panel terminals 4,5,6,7
4. Connected my garage door wires to relay position 1
5. Powered on my panel and went to *79
6. In *79 I programmed the following:
- Output number =1
- Output type = 1 (relay)
- XX Module Address = 12 (this shows as “1st 4204 in the programming manual)
- XX Relay Position = 1

I then tried to activate the garage door by pressing <user code> + # + 7 + 12 and nothing happened. I am also getting a message on the alpha keypad that reads “Check 112 Relay Module”
Any help here would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Andy

Close, but not quite. No need for 193. In 80, instead of 12, there you'll need to change to 20. Or change dip switches to 12. Don't forget about 79.

Here's my setup, basically...

79 start at 1, relay, address 12, position (1-4)
80 01(a), (no event), 1(p), 23(trig).

Your setup may need to be modified, I'm using my fobs, although I can use the keypad operation.
