Indicator for UV water purifier
I am installing a simple 120 volt circuit for a nice lady for her new purifier. That is simple. This thing is so critical that I would like to add some visual device to, at least, show that the unit has power. If the unit loses power, then she has to have pipes flushed and sanitized which is pretty costly. The purifier is in a crawl space, so not readily accessible. Any ideas?

Better than just an indicator that power is available would be a current-operated switch that would prove the lamp is actually functioning.

First, check the specs on the device. It's not uncommon for such units to have auxiliary contacts for just such a purpose. It may be labeled in the diagrams as a trouble relay.
If not, the simple thing to do would be to install a remote indicator light on the same circuit, in a visible location. You could even use a model with a keyswitch to serve as your service disconnect.

It looks like those devices could be used together. The trigger device could activate the indicator lamp.

I'm still at this
I emailed Suncourt and their device specs at 1.2 amps minimum. They say it is not reliable below that. The UV lamp only specs at 1 amp. Are there any current activated switches that work with really low amp draws?

Simply take multiple turns of wire through the window of the current operated switch. Wire straight through will measure the current flow of the load. Take a complete loop and it will measure twice the current flow, loop again for a measurement of three times the current flow.
