while I was playing with the new system I've enrolled a wireless motion sensor by using the enrollment procedure available on the ver. 4.6 board
*8 + inst_code + 898

Now I would like to remove one of the devices I've enrolled during the test but I cannot understan how to do it.

If I try to re-enroll it it says "duplicate ESN" and does not proceed any further.
The thing is I've also forgotten in which zone it was allocated.

Any idea how to do it but also, in general, how to see which zones are not hardwired but wireless?

What model wireless receiver are you using?

Normally, you go to the wireless zone enrollment location in wireless module programming and delete the serial number that's in that slot.

If you lost track of what zone you enrolled the device on, you can try taking the battery out of the transmitter and see which zone shows a low battery trouble using the trouble display function. Otherwise, you can just check each zone location in the wireless programming to see which one has a serial number in place.

Thanks to your direction I've managed to do it,
I had to enter 804 menu which is not documented on the panel's User guide but on the keyboard's one.
For some reason removing the battery didn't trigger any alert (??) so I had to check each zone and put zeros in the one showing that device. this way it let me re-enroll it.

By the way, it seems it allows me to enroll wireless devices up to zone 32 (zone 33 gives a long beep).
Is this correct, even if the panel should support 64 zones?

 

Most likely, it never showed a zone fault because you hadn't activated the RF attribute of the zone you added the transmitter to by accident.

The wireless receiver in the RFK5500 only supports 32 zone transmitters. To get 64 zones you would have to go to the RFK5564 model or the TR5164 receiver.

 

I see, I understand your point,
but what if I buy more hardwire zone expanders?
Let's say I buy 3x 8 zones expanders, the hardwired zones should reach 32 zones, in that case what happen to the wireless zones? as they cannot overlap, will they be moved higher to 32+?

I'm not sure if hardwire expander zones can overlap with wireless or not.

The zones would not self adjust. You could, however, set the hardwired expander to start at zone 33.

Something has to go.
With the RFK5500 you can have the first 32 as wireless and add 4xPC5108s for Z33-64. You loose the first 8 hardwired zones but you would still have all 64 zones.

If you can live with less wireless and more HW zones you could use the 8HW zones on the board then Z9-32 wireless, then 4xPC5108 expanders. You end up with 40 hardwired and 24 wireless and still have 64zones. This way you loose 8 wireless zones but still have 64zones.

This is what happens when they sell you the wrong keypad. So the answer is the RFK5564 wireless keypad or the equivalent receiver.
