older panel help

Wondering if anyone knows if I can get extension boards for an older panel we have in house we just bought. The panel has 55-702-e stamped on it and the instructions I found in the house are for an apex advantage alarm but I think that may just be a reseller and not manufacturer? There is a small board that I believe goes to siren with ademco printed on it. I will include picture of the board if I figure out how to upload. Thank you

The number doesn't mean anything to me. A picture would help. http://www.doityourself.com/forum/el...rt-images.html

I'm on my phone and don't see any insert option, will get over to desktop and try to insert from there. I believe I have the same board referenced in this older thread http://www.doityourself.com/forum/el...t-panel.html#b

I think I have uploaded photo correctly? Also, the remote panel is a GE Concord... I'm really trying to find out if I can connect the Envisalink 3 ethernet based adapter to this panel so I can self monitor. Thank you in advance

That looks to be a concord; possibly an Ultra: http://www.myalarm.com/manuals_prog/...ncordUltra.pdf

It's not compatible with the Envisalink modules. Those only work with Honeywell Vista and DSC power series.

yes, that is exactly the model of the control pad that is connected to the panel. Is there any other ethernet card that will work with the panel I have? I hate
to have to rewire the whole panel to get an ethernet connection. Thanks Ron

No. The best you can do with this is an automation module that can tie into a home automation setup.

Alarm.com may have a communicator that would work with this.

In any case, you would need the installer code. With Concords, if the installer code has been changed, there are very few ways to get into the programming without defaulting the entire system.

Got it. Will look into changing out the panel... Any recommendations? Looks like the DSC and Honeywell/Ademco are pretty similar and work with the Envisalink3 module.
Thank you,

The two are pretty equivalent. You would probably find the DSC to be more user-friendly on a day to day basis.
