Red face DSC Self Contained Alarm System-Wireless Window Sensor Causing False Alarms

I have a DSC alarm system through ADT. Last night the system went off in the middle of the night (storming) and it was the same sensor - wireless window. I really want to save on a service call. To my knowledge a low battery will not cause a false alarm. I have not gotten any low battery beeps or errors. What can I do? Possibly the sensor is bad? I've had the system for a year and never had this problem before. Thanks!

Welcome to the forums.

I service and install pro grade(Inovonics) wireless devices and they don't always register a low battery with the alarm system and sometimes go right into alarm.

Try changing the battery first.
