dsc 1832 sensor registration stuck?

I have a working dsc 1832 that i set up myself
i have 5 working wireless door sensors
and 3 working wireless smokes

I'm adding a 6th wireless door sensor.
i got the sensor in the mail, put the battery in and fired up DLS5
I configured everything and as i pulled the magnet away, the door chime went off (my test)
I thought great. it's working.
so i wasn't ready to install the sensor yet, so i went back and unchecked the unsupervise option and set the zone definition to null.. etc.

I came back today I installed the sensor, went back to the software and no matter what i do, i can not get that sensor to work anymore. everything else is working fine. when i pop the top off the sensor, i do get a tamper alert.
so it is talking to the panel, it just isn't alerting me when it's tripped. and i cant figure out why.

any suggestions?

Sounds like the zone type is incorrect. I would check that again. You can check the programing with the keypad... if it's easier.

well, i set the type to the same as my other sensors and it worked fine that way.
I'm thinking the sensor may have gone bad. that's all i can think.
i ordered a new one. so i'll find out in a few days.

Been a while but reviewing this again...

Make sure you have the attribute 8 on for wireless. Seemed like you would have done this with others working but tamper working and no open / close response either zone type, broken contact likely. Hopefully you have this fixed and can give some insight to what it was.
