Disabling phone dialer on ADT GE concord express?

We have an ADT branded GE concord express that we want to keep as a noise alarm without any monitoring. Once a month, at 3am, it beeps and displays a phone error, we no longer have a landline or monitoring, and want to disable this monthly middle of the night annoyance.

You need a programming keypad and installer code in order to go in and make any changes. Otherwise you're pretty well stuck

 

I have the system owners manual for this model but I don't think I'm getting into the "programming" menu. When I enter the system menu with the installer code, I get to the "enter cmd" message but if I enter 00 or 01 it does not display "program menu"...It gives me an error beep and exits out.

Does anyone know if the installer could have changed the default sequence of these menus so they no longer follow the owners manual? ADT installed the system in 2004, but I don't use them for monitoring any more and I own the system so I want to take out the phone dialing options.

I am not an expert on these GE models but I believe if you dont have the correct "programmer" type keypad, the system will not let you move forward even with the correct installer code.
