ADT Safewatch 3000 Error Message Busy Standby E8

I added a key fob to our system and now we have this error message on the screen. What does it mean and how do I undo? I cannot set alarm.

You'll have to delete the zone in *56 zone programming. If you put 00 for the Zone Type option for whichever zone you want to delete, it will ask you to confirm the deletion.

I seem to be making it worse, not better. Now it is stuck on "Field ?"

Once I get into programming mode I don't know how to exit out.
