20p not chiming/not sounding alpha descriptors

I'm new to all the alarm programming but I changed out an old panel board to a Rev.10.23 and installed an EnvisaLink3. Using a 6160VP for programming, but use 2- 6172c & 1- 6271cv keypads for everyday use.

Everything is working fine, except I'm not getting chimes or audible descriptors when a door or window is opened. (Alpha descriptors have been programmed in).

I'm thought my issue may be *26. I went back and put in *26 + 1 + 0. Nothing!

Any suggestions?

Yes, they work fine. Shows a fault if anything is opened. Clears when closed.

*26 should be 0 (chime by zone only works using zone lists).

Assuming that you have the chime feature turned on, have you programmed the keypad to use the voice chime mode and selected the zone descriptors that are in it's vocabulary list when you programmed your zone descriptors in *82 programming?

Changed *26 to 0 + 0.
It reset all the keypads. Had to go back in and turn voice back on, now they are all working fine.

I had no problems with anything else, but *26 apparently was a little confuising to me.

Thanks for the help!!!

It's one of those cases where the name they use, "chime by zone" doesn't mean what people might _think_ it means.

The chime setting always resets when you enter and exit programming.
