ADT Security System

I have an ADT system that is not connected to the ADT system. The system is Safewatch Pro 2000. It keeps beeping all the time. I found the panel box and I disconnected the battery...that did not work. I found where it was plugged in and unplugged it.That seemed to work for several hours and it has resumed a single beep about every 30 seconds. What do I do to stop this? Please it is driving me cracy.

Welcome to the forums.

The Safewatch Pro 2000 should be a Vista-20SE panel.

Your manual can be found here.... Vista 20SE Installation Manual - Free Alarm Manuals

The first two screw terminals are AC power from the transformer to the board. Remove the wire from terminal one and the panel should be dead.

If you have powered the system down, and are still hearing a chirp at about 30-60 sec intervals, then you are looking for a smoke alarm or CO detector with a low battery (typically NOT part of the security system...).
