DSC Power 832 Fire Zone Issue
I have a problem with Zone 01 on my DSC Power 832 security system. Here are some specifics on the system
LCD5500Z Keypad
PC5010 Motherboard
PC5698 Audio Expander Board
7 of 8 zones used
01 - Fire
Programmed as a 07 type device with attribute 1 only turned on
I have taken all smoke detectors down and repowered the system (AC and battery) and the trouble light went off momentarily but came right back on. There is only one heat detector left on the system.
I have reprogrammed the system multiple times and believe I have all correct except I don't understand the PCM1 and PCM2 programming and believe I may have them incorrectly programmed but don't even know if that would matter.
Any help clearing the fault will be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forums.
Without looking into the manual I can tell you that a fire point needs to be supervised. That would mean it would require an EOL (end of line) resistor.

Sorry PGM1 and PGM2 is what I should have stated I don't understand how to program.
Also, in lookin gat all the wired interconnected some detectors, they all seem to be thee wires; however, the heat detector seems to have four wires. They are all supposedly on the same circuit.
The system is self monitored and has worked fine until I took the keypad down to paint the wall it was mounted on.

I am pretty sure it has the correct resistors on the lines but I am not an electrician. I have not changed any of the wiring and have only tried to update the programming through the keypad.

Pgm1 and Pgm2 are output connections.
You ONLY removed the keypad and zone 1 is in trouble ?
You didn't remove any smoke/heat detectors ?

I did have a wireless key fob wired to the keypad as well. I had to take the wires off the keypad to remove the wires for the key fob but turned the power off to do both. I left the key fob wires off and have had trouble with zone 1 ever since. I have checked all smoke detectors and taken them all down and made sure the batteries were OK. When I do an AC/battery reset, the trouble will clear for just a few moments but come right back on. When I do a *2, the keypad will display "5" and when I press "5" again, a 1 will flash which I believe means Zone 1 is in trouble. nothing I have tried has cleared it yet. I have completely reprogrammed everything multiple times and even took zone 1 out of service and added it back in. No luck so far.

Sorry Everyone,
I just did another reprogram and took all my zones out of service and added them back in as well as verified the zone attributes. The trouble has cleared now and all seems to be good for the moment. I changed the PGM programming back to default settings shown in programming sheets as well. I am going to replace all of my smoke detectors and the one heat detector as they are all over 10 years old. Any suggestions on what is the best hardwired interconnected model available would be appreciated.
Note...I think the problem with Zone 1 all the time was that I had the keypad assigned to it. I removed this as well and the fault cleared shortly thereafter. Quite a learning experience.
